Pre-1600 Scottish Gaelic Evidence

The 1467 manuscript, a collection of genealogies of Scottish Gaelic families written in Ireland by a Scottish Gael and dated 1467 A.D., gives "Agan~" or "Agais" as the mother of the second man named (i.e., the second generation) in the genealogy of Mac Lachlan oig.[1467 MS ] The manuscript is difficult to read, and I have not been able to determine whether the last part of the name is an <n> with a wavy line after it (a kind of abbreviation mark) or the letters <is>. It is unclear what Gaelic name this might represent.
