The Islay Charter, a Scottish charter from the Lord of the Isles written in Gaelic and dated 6 May 1408, grants lands "do Bhrian Bhicaire Mhagaodh".[Munro, 16, pp. 21-22] <Bhrian> is in an oblique grammatical case and lenited because it follows <do>; the nominative form would be <Brian>.
